George Tereschuk

Prior to joining Ferlise and Associates in April 2021, George was an attorney for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of General Counsel beginning in August 2009. In that capacity, he served as a legal advisor on a wide variety of Information Technology (IT) related contract actions in support of the VA Technology Acquisition Center in Eatontown N.J. as well as other VA contracting offices.  George routinely provided critical advice to VA clients on source selection, government contract law, IT, Intellectual Property (IP), and software licensing issues.

From 1976 until 2009, George served in a number of legal roles from Attorney Advisor to Patent Attorney in the Office of General Counsel, U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Ft Monmouth, N.J. During that period, George successfully prepared and prosecuted over 150 patent applications for electronic, software, and communications inventions.

George has also published a number of articles on various Contracting and IP topics to include Government Purpose Rights and open source software.

George holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Juris Doctorate Degree from Temple University. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars as well as the Patent Bar.
