Prior to joining Ferlise and Associates in 2012, Michael was the Chief of the Intellectual Property Law Division of the CECOM Legal Office, a position he held for nearly thirty years. He has extensive experience in the acquisition of technical data and computer software for the DOD and is also very familiar with the non-DOD Government regulations in that area. His additional intellectual property experience includes that relating to: patent infringement and prosecution matters; various areas of technology transfer; export controls; and Government contracts outside of the FAR/DFARS framework. Michael has received numerous civilian awards in the course of his career including the Meritorious Civilian Service Award; AMC Attorney of the Year; AMC Legal Manager of the Year; and the OSD VHSIC Pioneer Award. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor Degree from Fordham Law School. He is licensed to practice before the courts of New Jersey, several Federal courts, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
